about me
Hey! Call me Nyx. I’m a maker, writer, and aspiring jack-of-most-trades, in my early 20s. Currently in PST.
I don’t really care what pronouns you use for me. I use it/its for myself, but again, I’m not too fussed, just don’t be boring about it.
areas of expertise
While I won’t claim to be a jack-of-all-trades, or even good at most of what I do, I have been doing a few things for a very long time.
I’ve been playing and running TTRPGs for roughly fourteen years, homebrewing for them for roughly eight, and actively developing for roughly four. In the interest of privacy, I’m not going to put on blast where I develop them, because that shit’s got my real name.
I’ve been playing Magic: the Gathering for roughly fourteen years and playing competitively for roughly eight. My “holy grail” card is 7ED foil Sleight of Hand, as some of you fucking nerds may have guessed by the Why Ledgerocks section.
I’ve been working with Windows systems for as long as I can remember, though these days I’m a newbie Arch Linux user. I have a working knowledge of Windows 10, and a barely-functional knowledge of Arch and Ubuntu.
I dabble in music composition, bookbinding, woodworking, activism, and baking, but I wouldn’t say I’m good at any of those.
why ledgerocks?
Ledgerocks is a series of plays on words. I used to misspell “legerdemain” as “ledgermain”. “ledgermain” -> “ledgeraux” -> “ledgerocks”.
